Inside. Desktop. Day.
Maybe this is insane, in general. Maybe it’s just the subject. At first there was this fascination with the character of an investigator suffering from memory loss. And maybe an even bigger fascination with the way his story was told. A story that actually isn’t a story anymore; it can’t be a story because it attempts to put the recipient into a situation very similar to the one of the investigator suffering from memory loss. From this perspective there is no story, from these ever changing new perspectives there is at best a whole bunch of stories. But for some reason there is this drive to put these stories in the right order or something similar, to make sense of them or detect meaning in them. This applies for both, the recipient as well as the tragic hero of the movie.
